About Cala d'Or
The resort of Cala d'Or is situated on the south east coast of Mallorca (Majorca) around 65km from Palma. Cala d'Or is a modern resort that has developed around a small traditional Mallorcan fishing village. This growth however has been controlled and thus the resort has retained all of it original charm.
The resort covers an area of approx 4km of sandy coves and creeks, the largest of which is Cala Llonga which has been developed into a marina which has served to effectively cut the resort in two.
The resort has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops; most of which are centred around the main pedestrian zone in the area of Cala Gran. The night-life in Cala d'Or is lively, but not rowdy and is ideally suited for those looking for a more family oriented, laid-back and relaxing atmosphere.
The main beach in Cala d'Or is at Cala Gran, however if this becomes too crowd there are a number of sandy coves in the area to which you can retreat.
Cala d'Or is a beautiful, enchanting place suited to those who like to take things easy. Why not come and see for yourself?
